Hey There, I'm Rachel đź‘‹

I’m a product designer based in New Jersey and New York who works at the intersection of regulation, systems, and real-world constraints. As such, I guide my teams through the complexities of product decision-making by providing clear direction early, mapping user intent to regulatory requirements, and thoughtfully balancing trade-offs within the constraints of technical capabilities. I am as concerned with creating scalable product systems that reduce ambiguity and provide my teams with clarity and confidence to act as I am with designing interfaces.

Designing a Multi-Role Dashboard Experience
Led the redesign of the dashboard to be based on a role-based structure so that multiple users could easily navigate through the dashboard and complete all required tasks while being able to self-serve.

Meet Rachel,

I am a product designer in the New Jersey/New York area specializing in systems for complex, regulated products. I have a background in finance, mathematics, and psychology, which enables me to take complex ideas and rules and convert them into clear, usable systems. I focus on reducing friction, building user confidence in their decision-making, and designing robust systems that will continue to function as they grow over time.

If you are attempting to solve a complex problem, testing a new idea, or would like to communicate, please do not hesitate to contact me. I would be happy to discuss your needs.

My Design Philosophy

Understand the System Before Designing

Working in regulatory environments with many dependencies and in environments with constraints on how things work in the world, it is important to me that I understand what lies below the surface of how products really function.

Use Design as a Decision-Making Framework

For me, design is not just visual expression. Each flow and each interaction are created to guide decision-making, reduce risk, and provide a structure that supports both the user’s intent and business outcomes.

Design Systems That Grow and Scale Over Time

Instead of creating systems that will only meet the needs of the current moment, I create systems that adapt as the product, regulations, and user needs change over time while maintaining stability.
